宋朝有个画家叫文与可,他的诗和文章都写得非常好,又很会画竹子。
sòng cháo yǒu gè huà jiā jiào wén yù kě , tā de shī hé wén zhāng dōu xiè de fēi cháng hǎo , yòu hěn huì huà zhú zi 。
His paintings of bamboo are so lifelike that they are praised by people.
他画的竹子栩栩如生,很受人们的称赞。
tā huà de zhú zi xǔ xǔ rú shēng , hěn shòu rén men de chēng zàn 。
He used to grow bamboo around his house,
他曾经在自己的住所周围,种植了许多竹子,

曾写了一首诗来赞扬他,其中有两句说道:“与可画竹时,胸中有成竹”。
ceng xiè le yī shǒu shī lái zàn yáng tā , qí zhōng yǒu liǎng jù shuō dào : “ yù kě huà zhú shí , xiōng zhōng yǒu chéng zhú ” 。
From this comes the idiom "having a ready mind."
"胸有成竹”这个成语就由此演化而来。
