In China, "Honor of Kings" has become a cultural phenomenon. You can almost see players everywhere, maneuvering heroes on their phones for intense battles. The game is also widely discussed on Chinese social media, with players frequently sharing their gaming experiences, achievements, and amusing anecdotes. It's not just a game; it has become a bond connecting people, integrating into many individuals' lives. You might be wondering why it is so popular. The following points are the main reasons:

If the competitive aspect were to be removed from Honor of Kings, there would likely be fewer players engaged with the game. It is the competitiveness that draws more players and makes them love this competitive game.
  3. Team/Social aspects: Honor of Kings is a team-based game, a 5v5 competitive game where each position is equally important. For example, even the support role, often considered the least impactful, can play a crucial role by using a powerful ability to control the enemy team, ultimately contributing to the team's victory. In team games, valuing teammates is important, as each teammate's performance has a critical impact on the outcome of the game. With the rapid development of the internet and the increasing role of smartphones in our lives, gaming has become a popular leisure activity for the masses. In my opinion, Honor of Kings is a social game that can enhance relationships and establish stable social connections.

The most two popular characters in "Honor of Kings" is Diao Chan and Han Xin.

Diao Chan (Diāo Chán):

Background of historical figures: In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, there was a woodcutter who, while gathering firewood deep in the mountains, suddenly heard the loud and piercing cries of a baby coming from a cliff, startling the birds into a frenzy. Accustomed to never encountering any signs of human habitation in the area, the woodcutter was understandably petrified. Unable to bear the continuous sobs, the kind-hearted woodcutter summoned up the courage to search for the source of the cries along the cliff face. As it turned out, the cries were coming from a stone cave halfway up the mountain, with a towering ancient tree standing in front of it. Risking it all, the woodcutter climbed to the treetop and cautiously approached the mouth of the cave. Inside, he discovered a baby girl swaddled in a cloak on a stone table, exquisitely beautiful. Overcome with astonishment and joy, the woodcutter carefully picked her up, and the baby immediately stopped crying, smiling sweetly at the woodcutter. Using a bundle of firewood as a makeshift carrier, the woodcutter carried the baby girl back down the mountain along the same path. On the way home, he encountered an elderly man with a wizened face and white hair, who, with a smile, told the woodcutter that the child, when grown, would surely be a beauty. If it was not considered impolite, he would give her a name. Sensing a bond between the elderly man and the baby, the woodcutter agreed. The old man named the baby Diaochan and then disappeared into thin air. The woodcutter lovingly raised Diaochan as his own, cherishing her like a precious gem. Diaochan, along with Yang Yuhuan, Xi Shi, and Wang Zhaojun, are known as the Four Beauties of ancient China.

In "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," Diaochan is presented as the adopted daughter of Wang Yun, the Minister over the Masses during the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Renowned for her unparalleled beauty, she embarks on a poignant and complex scheme at Wang Yun's behest to overthrow the tyrannical rule of Dong Zhuo and save the Han Dynasty. Maneuvering between two men, she successfully sows discord between Dong Zhuo and the mighty warrior Lü Bu, ultimately enabling Lü Bu to eliminate the villainous Dong Zhuo, bringing an end to his dark reign. Following this, Diaochan becomes Lü Bu's concubine. After Lü Bu's defeat by Cao Cao following the Battle of Xiapi, Diaochan accompanies Lü Bu's family to Xuchang, but her subsequent fate remains unknown.

Characteristics in Honor of Kings: Diao Chan is a gorgeous and deadly mage known for her high burst damage and control abilities. Her skills are elegant and deadly, capable of swiftly changing the course of a battle.

Popularity Reasons Honor of Kings: Diao Chan's high burst damage and nimble skill maneuvers make her a beloved choice among many players. Her graceful and charming appearance is deeply admired by the player community.

Han Xin (Hán Xìn):

Background of historical figures: Han Xin was a military strategist during the Western Han Dynasty and one of the "Three Heroes of Chu" at the beginning of the Han Dynasty. He hailed from Huaiyin, which is present-day Huai'an District, Jiangsu Province. Regarded as a founding hero of the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Bang praised him as one of the three outstanding talents under his command. He was known as a representative figure of ancient military ideology, often revered as a "military deity" and a "divine commander."

During the chaos at the end of the Qin Dynasty, Han Xin initially sought refuge with Xiang Liang and Xiang Yu but was not heavily utilized. He eventually turned to Liu Bang and was appointed as the Director of Grain Administration. Later, thanks to the support of Xiao He, he rose to the position of a prominent general and formulated strategies for the Han Dynasty's governance in the Guanzhong region, reformed the military laws, and devised plans to reclaim and stabilize the regions of the Three Qins. After Xiang Yu's death, he was stripped of his military power and demoted to the title of the Marquis of Huaiyin. Due to false accusations and alleged collusion with Chen Xi, he was conspired against by Empress Lü and Xiao He, resulting in his execution at the Zhongsheng Palace in Changle and the extermination of his family. Renowned as a peerless talent and an extraordinary achiever, Han Xin's contributions included devising strategies to stabilize the regions of the Three Qins, conquering Wei, supplanting Dai, defeating Zhao, pressuring Yan, and vanquishing Chu, all of which made him famous throughout the country and commanded awe and respect across the land. As a military theorist, he collaborated with Zhang Liang to compile military treatises and texts, authoring three volumes of the "Han Xin's Art of War." In the "Book of Han" under the category of arts and literature, Han Xin is classified as a "military strategist."

Characteristics in Honor of Kings: Han Xin is a powerful assassin with high mobility and burst damage as his forte. His skills enable him to quickly approach enemies, dealing substantial damage.

Popularity Reasons in Honor of Kings: Han Xin's high burst damage and agility make him a formidable presence in the game. His brave image and formidable operational capabilities attract many players to choose him as a reliable ally on the battlefield.
