In ancient times, there was a man named Kuafu who was a legendary mighty giant and known for his strength and bravery.
上古时期，有个传说中的大力巨人名叫夸父，他因力量和勇敢而闻名。 
shànɡ ɡǔ shí qī，yǒu ɡè chuán shuō zhōnɡ de dà lì jù rén mínɡ jiào kuā fù，tā yīn lì liànɡ hé yónɡ ɡǎn ér wén mínɡ。 

One day, he was determined to catch the Sun God, who he believed was too far away from the Earth and not provide enough light and heat to people.
有一天，他决定抓住太阳神，他认为太阳神离地球太远，没有为人类提供足够的光和热。 
yǒu yì tiān，tā jué dìnɡ zhuā zhù tài yánɡ shén，tā rèn wéi tài yánɡ shén lí dì qiú tài yuǎn，méi yǒu wéi rén lèi tí ɡōnɡ zú ɡòu de ɡuānɡ hé rè。 

Thereupon, Kuafu wanted to chase after the Sun and catch it in his hands.
于是，夸父便想追着太阳，并把它抓在手里。 
yú shì，kuā fù biàn xiǎnɡ zhuī zhe tài yánɡ，bìnɡ bǎ tā zhuā zài shǒu lǐ。 

He began to run towards the Sun day by day.
他开始日复一日的朝着太阳奔跑。 
tā kāi shǐ rì fù yí rì de cháo zhe tài yánɡ bēn pǎo。 

Kuafu chasing the sun across mountains, rivers and forests.
夸父追着太阳穿过了群山，河流和森林。 
kuā fù zhuī zhe tài yánɡ chuān ɡuò le qún shān，hé liú hé sēn lín，yǒnɡ bù tínɡ xiē。 

When thirsty, he drank the Yellow River and Weihe River, then, he continued to pursuit the Sun.
口渴的时候，他就喝黄河和渭河的水，然后就继续追赶太阳。 
kǒu kě de shí hou，tā jiù hē huánɡ hé hé wèi hé de shuǐ，rán hòu jiù jì xù zhuī ɡǎn tài yánɡ。 

Because he kept chasing the Sun without stopping, he eventually died of exhaust and thirsty before he reached the place of the Sun.
因为他永不停歇地追赶太阳，在他到达太阳所在位置之前，最终死于精疲力竭和口渴。 
yīn wèi tā yǒnɡ bù tínɡ xiē de zhuī ɡǎn tài yánɡ，zài tā dào dá tài yánɡ suǒ zài wèi zhi zhī qián，zuì zhōnɡ sǐ yú jīnɡ pí lì jié hé kǒu kě。 

After his death, the walking stick he left behind was turned into a peach forest, which stretching for thousands of miles, and his body turned into a big moutain, and his spirists became a worshipped God.
